Hey there,

Frequently Asked Q’s

What are BPD Support Groups?

The BPD Support Groups by BPD Beautiful are structured, peer-led groups designed to help people with Borderline Personality Disorder learn, grow and stay accountable. Each week will focus on a common topic or challenge (dependent on the group you join) while providing information, guided discussion, suggested coping skills and practical homework.

No matter what group you join, the goal is to help you apply what we learn and discuss to everyday life while feeling supported by people who understand BPD firsthand.

What makes the BPD Support Groups offered by BPD Beautiful different?

Unlike traditional support groups, our groups follow a structured format that combine accountability, information sharing, practical coping skills and meaningful guided discussion. Rather than simply sharing experiences (although we will do that too!), members will end each call with tools, homework and ongoing support through a private group chat. The focus is on making real progress, one week at a time.

Are these BPD Support Groups considered therapy?

No. Our BPD Support Groups are not therapy and cannot replace therapy. Groups are not led by licensed mental health professionals but instead are peer-led and facilitated by someone in remission from BPD.

These groups are intended to complement—not replace—professional mental health care.

Think of our groups as a structured self-help study group, basing the information we share on common therapy methods. We’re in this together, learning and growing.

Who are these BPD Support Groups for?

These groups are designed for adults with Borderline Personality Disorder or BPD traits. You must be over 18 to join.

We ask that all members be committed to working on their recovery and to attending at least 80% of the calls on their group’s schedule.

Having self awareness and an ability to take accountability (we all make mistakes!) even if it’s triggering will also be immensely helpful. Being kind, empathetic, compassionate and respectful is a requirement.
